PURE is now open for business in Canada
We are thrilled to provide a new insurance solution for high net worth Canadians and for those who have homes in both the U.S. and Canada. Our model remains the same, so members in Canada will benefit from nearly all of the same exceptional solutions and services that our U.S. members enjoy today.
Watch Head of Canada, Chris Sevdalis, discuss the expansion at the 2024 PURE Leadership Forum.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our decision to expand into Canada was driven by our mission to serve high net worth homeowners better. First, we wanted to better serve our existing U.S. PURE members who have Canada risks. Second, we see a great opportunity in Canada for our expertise, unique structure and a fresh approach.
Clients who own properties in both countries can benefit from a seamless insurance experience across borders, with the same exceptional service and coverage members have come to expect from PURE.
PURE Canada is licensed and regulated as a branch of PURE U.S. which means that everything about our reciprocal structure is the same in both countries.
Our premiums will be competitive, and our reciprocal model plays a big role in that. Another important factor helping to keep premiums fair is selectivity: we've built a highly selective membership of responsible homeowners who prioritize prevention, which can result in fewer claims, and in turn, lower claims costs. And, if there is a year where premiums exceed liabilities, we are able to return some of the excess to the membership through Subscriber Savings Accounts. This is a distinct difference from traditional insurers who are owned by shareholders, not members.
PURE offers a full suite of products in Canada including Homeowners, Collections, Fraud & Cyber, Excess and Watercraft with coverage that is largely consistent with our U.S. products. We plan to introduce Automobile coverage starting in future.
We will start by writing risks in Ontario with plans to expand to additional provinces over time.
