Membership has its privileges for PURE insurers customers

An insurer for the wealthy has begun tailoring its products to discriminating Ohioans.
White Plains, N.Y.-based Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange in July began selling its home and auto insurance policies in the state.
The company, which has about 11,000 customers in a couple dozen states, offers higher-than-standard coverage, such as $50,000 for jewelry that is lost or stolen, said CEO Ross Buchmueller.
