One Beautiful Thing: Bob & Cindy Manzo

Bob and Cindy Manzo are fortunate to own multiple properties on the East Coast, each reflective of their passion for art and collecting. Their custom-built Florida home sits on the grounds of the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo and is adorned with their most prized pieces, a collection of oil paintings of their only daughter when she was younger.

The property provides an elegant setting to entertain friends and family and, on the quieter nights, a comfortable place for the family of three to spend quality time together. The paintings serve as a reminder of the memories they have shared together as a family, especially in the time since their daughter has moved out.

In April 2017, the couple had a claim at their Florida home. A golf cart parked in their garage burst into flames, causing extensive smoke and soot damage throughout the entire house. Their beloved oil paintings were among many of the pieces covered in soot, and the couple was concerned they wouldn’t be restorable unless action was taken quickly.

Their PURE claims adjuster arranged for a fire restoration team to clean the air and every surface within the home. “The crew went so far as to carefully clean by hand the soot from the oil painting of my daughter; it was like the fire never happened.”
