Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange PURE Appoints James McLaughlin to Subscribers Advisory Committee SAC

WHITE PLAINS, NY – May 11, 2010 - William W. Wilson, III, chairman of the Subscribers’ Advisory Committee of member-owned reciprocal insurer Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (PURE), today announced the appointment of James H. “Jamie” McLaughlin, former chief executive officer of Geller Family Office Services LLC, as the fifth member to the PURE’s Subscribers’ Advisory Committee (SAC).

The SAC is comprised of PURE members (policyholders) who provide PURE’s attorney-in-fact, PURE Risk Management LLC, with recommendations about ways to better serve PURE’s membership, oversee audit functions, and serve as champions for PURE in their local communities.

Prior to his position at Geller, McLaughlin served for almost five years as managing director and head of the New York office of Convergent Wealth Advisors (formerly Lydian Wealth Management). Before this, McLaughlin worked 10 years as the regional president of Mellon Private Wealth Management’s New York region. McLaughlin served 10 years in the Connecticut General Assembly, including three terms in the state Senate where he chaired and served as ranking member of the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) and chairs the AFB’s investment committee. McLaughlin also serves as the family office representative on the Board of Directors of the CT Hedge Fund Association.

McLaughlin received a bachelor’s degree in history from Lafayette College in Easton, PA, and a master’s in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, MA. He currently lives in Darien, CT with his wife, Julie, and their son, Austin.
