The PURE Watertight Home Check from Beagle Services helps to identify and upgrade some of the most common culprits of water damage—like swapping plastic toilet and washing machine supply lines for more durable steel braided ones. In addition to the home check, PURE helps to cover the cost of minor repairs.

How it works
A Beagle Pro will visit your home and if any risks are discovered, they will take steps to mitigate them (like upgrading plastic toilet supply lines to more durable steel braided lines). PURE will cover the cost of the home check and labor and materials for minor repairs as recommended by Beagle.
The multi-point home check will also focus on washing machine supply lines, water heaters, HVAC units, water pressure and more. Following the visit, you’ll receive a report outlining any risks in your home, steps taken during the visit to mitigate these risks and recommendations for additional work to further protect your home against water damage.

This program is currently to members in select areas of AZ, CT, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MI, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA and WA. If you insure a home with PURE in these states and would like a PURE Watertight Home Check from Beagle, you can request an appointment.
A Beagle Pro will share an overview of the areas where they will inspect—areas that are most commonly associated with water damage like toilet and washing machine supply lines, water heaters and HVAC condensers. Then, with your permission, they will inspect and document the condition of these areas.
If needed, they may perform minor repairs to reduce the chances of water damage, like swapping plastic water supply lines for more durable braided steel ones.
After the visit, you will receive a report documenting the visit, the findings, any repairs made and any recommendations to further protect your home from water damage.
A Beagle Pro will examine the areas most commonly responsible for water damage and will document the location and condition of water-using appliances and select mechanical equipment. The home check includes:
- Testing the water pressure coming into your home.
- Inspecting water supply lines and replacing them as needed. Examples include toilet supply lines and washing machine supply lines.
- Documenting the condition, size and location of the main water line in your home.
- Documenting the location of the manual water shut-off valve and the condition of an automatic water shut-off valve if present.
- Documenting the locations of water-using appliances including toilets, sinks, washing machines, dishwashers, water and ice machines, refrigerators, HVAC condensers and water heaters.
- Inspecting sump pumps and sewer ejector pumps if applicable.
- Inspecting boilers if applicable.
Most home checks will take one to two hours to complete, but the duration will vary depending on the size of your home.

No. You are in no way required to act on the recommendations made in the report, and if you choose to complete them, you may use any plumbing professional you choose.
Yes. PURE is offering this program with the goal of helping members prevent costly and disruptive water damage losses. Your participation is voluntary, and we will not use the findings in any way other than to benefit you.
If certain recommendations are completed (for example, the installation of an automatic water shut-off valve) there may be a premium credit applied.

Non-catastrophe water losses are a leading cause of loss among the PURE membership. Our goal is to reduce the costs of these claims to benefit the membership overall and, on an individual level, to reduce the disruption members face when these losses occur.
The PURE Watertight Home Check is currently available in limited cities in AZ, CT, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MI, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA and WA.
At this time, this program is only available to members with single-family homes. We hope to expand it to include condos in the future.
