2024 PURE Insurance Championship

September 17-22 | Pebble Beach, CA

The Format

The PURE Insurance Championship is a 54-hole golf event, featuring 80 PGA TOUR Champions professionals, 80 First Tee juniors and 160 amateurs. The tournament is played on Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.

There are three concurrent competitions in play:
Pro (individual)
Pro-Junior Teams, Male & Female Junior (team net best ball)
Pro-Amateur Team (foursome net best ball)

The Courses

The PURE Insurance Championship is played on some of the most scenic golf courses in the world.

Since 1919, the exquisite beauty and unique challenge of Pebble Beach Golf Links have thrilled golfers and spectators alike. Designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant, the course hugs the rugged coastline, providing wide-open vistas, Cliffside fairways and sloping greens.

Spyglass Hill Golf Course is rated one of the toughest courses in the world from the Championship tees, boasting a course rating of 75.5 and a slope rating of 144. During the 1999 United States Amateur, the stroke average of the field during medal play was in excess of 79.

The Cause

First Tee is a youth development organization that believes in developing experiences that are just as fun as they are meaningful, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. First Tee programs seamlessly integrate the game of golf with a life skills curriculum to create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience.

Each year, First Tee reaches millions of kids and teens through its programs, which are delivered at more than 1,400 golf courses, 10,000 elementary schools and more than 1,700 youth-serving organizations.

A team-style golf tournament captained by PGA Tour Champions benefitting PURE Insurance Scholars. This scholarship program provides financial assistance as well as mentorship and internship opportunities to select stand-out juniors from First Tee. This will be followed by food, drinks and camaraderie.

Take part in a team-style golf tournament captained by PGA TOUR Champions benefitting PURE Insurance Scholars. This scholarship program provides financial assistance as well as mentorship and internship opportunities to select stand-out juniors from First Tee.

During the event, you’ll have the opportunity to play The Hay, a course recently redesigned by Tiger Woods; watch as we surprise one First Tee junior with the news that they have earned a scholarship; and enjoy cocktails and dinner.
